Terms of Service

1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Scouter Systems platform (the "Service"), operated by Considered Businesses LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15746962. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. The Service
Scouter Systems provides analytics software. You install a tracking snippet on your website, and we collect anonymous telemetry data (page views, device and browser information, and custom events) on your behalf. We do not collect IP addresses, use cookies, or employ persistent identifiers.
3. Accounts
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us promptly at support@scouter.systems if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
4. Payment and Billing
The Service is available on a monthly subscription basis. Different plans include different usage limits. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. We may change our pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time, effective immediately. Upon cancellation, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. Your account will remain accessible but inactive. Account data is only deleted upon a separate deletion request.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its related systems
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.
7. Your Data
Scouter Systems is a hosted version of Scouter Analytics, which is open source software governed by its own licence. All telemetry data collected through your use of the Service belongs to you.
8. Availability
We may disable or terminate all or part of the Service, permanently or temporarily, at any time with or without notice.
The Service is provided "as is" and any express or implied warranties, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are disclaimed. In no event shall Scouter Systems or Considered Businesses LTD be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages (including, but not limited to, procurement of substitute goods or services; loss of use, data, or profits; or business interruption) however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort (including negligence or otherwise) arising in any way out of the use of this Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.

9. Privacy and Data Processing
Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. Where we process data on your behalf, our Data Processing Agreement applies.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
